Speros B. Panagos is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on intellectual property and business matters.
He counsels inventors, entrepreneurs, and businesses on developing, protecting, and managing their intellectual property rights, with experience spanning patent and trademark prosecution, intellectual property strategy, and related business counseling.
Speros represents clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in connection with patent applications and prosecution. His experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, responding to Office Actions, conducting prior art and patentability analyses, evaluating intellectual property portfolios, and advising clients on domestic and international patent strategy. He also assists clients with trademark clearance, prosecution, and other matters involving the development and protection of brands.
In addition to his intellectual property practice, Speros advises businesses on contractual, commercial, and strategic matters where legal considerations intersect with a client's broader business objectives. He approaches these matters with an emphasis on understanding both the legal issues and the practical considerations facing the client.
Before focusing his practice on intellectual property, Speros developed substantial litigation experience representing businesses and individuals in complex civil matters. He also practiced with an Am Law 100 firm and served on litigation teams handling matters from initial investigation through discovery, dispositive motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. This background informs his current practice by allowing him to evaluate intellectual property and business issues with an appreciation for how rights may ultimately be challenged, enforced, or litigated.
